2006 Hong Kong International Youth & Children’s Choir Festival

The 2006 Hong Kong International Youth & Children’s Choir Festival (HKIYCCF) comprised choral competitions, concerts, and workshops for local and overseas participants. The Hong Kong Treble Choirs’ Association (HKTCA) provided an open and fair judging mechanism that holds up to international standards. This was the first time for Hong Kong to host such youth choir event at the international scale, with renowned adjudicators from around the world. We delivered a world-class international competition and provided leaders-to-be a chance to learn about prevailing choral music trends and broaden their international perspectives. Through organizing this meaningful event, the HKTCA hoped to sharpen the choral professionalism of Festival participants and provided a taste of the quintessence of Chinese and Western choral cultures.
